FAQ

What type of roofing systems and services do you offer?

We offer both residential and commercial roofing replacements and repairs. We replace Architectural Shingles, Standing Seam Metal or flat membrane options (EPDM or TPO). We can repair all of the above plus torch down, exposed fastener, modbit, slate and cedar shake.

Are your estimates free?

We offer a variety of services, and our estimates are free. If you’re looking for a roof replacement, we will come out for no charge and consult with you about the best products for your home. We review the components and options with you at the initial consultation.
If you have a leak or need a repair, our repair mechanic will come out and assess what needs to be done and provide pricing and a plan to move forward. Our repair assessment is $129.00.
If you’re looking for a full health report and life expectancy of your roof, we will complete a roof inspection, with a photo/written report for $329.00.

My roof leaks, do I need a full replacement?

There are several considerations in determining what path will be best for your situation. The age of your roof, overall health, and the extent of the damage are all factors that we will consider when guiding you to the right roofing solution for you. But you do not always need a full replacement just because you have a leak.

Do you do roof repair?

We do!  We offer roof repairs for most of the roofing systems you will find on a home.  The initial assessment to diagnose a roof repair is $129.00 to schedule.

How can I recognize when my roof has problems?

We have a couple of options for you. We offer a no cost storm inspection if you see visible damage on your home or roof due to wind or hail. If you need a complete health report on your roof and life expectancy, we can do an in-depth inspection of your roof for $329.00. If you have an interior leak, or specific issue with your roof, we can do an assessment for $129.00 to let you know the next best steps. Common issues like leaks and blow-offs can sometimes be prevented with regular roof tune ups (maintenance services). If you see algae growth or curling shingles, it might be time to consider a full replacement.

Will you work with my insurance company?

We will help walk you through the claims process, yes. That being said, the insurance company will only work directly with their client, which is you. So, it will take some effort on both ends in order to get through the claims process seamlessly.

Will you inspect my attic?

If there is attic access, we will inspect the attic for a more thorough overview and plan for your home, yes.

Are your roofing crews employees or sub-contractors?

Both. We work with a short list of trusted and experienced sub-contractors that have been a part of the Happy Home family for years. We also have crews of employees with the ability to complete repairs and smaller replacements.

If I buy the materials, will you install them?

No, we do not offer installation only. We have worked to find the manufacturers and distributors that we partner with. We are often able to find savings on materials and delivery costs by working with out suppliers directly.

Can you provide references?

Yes. We can provide references based on your situation and needs. We also would love for you to check out our reviews on Google and Facebook!

What is the best time to replace my roof?

We roof in weather above 40 degrees. As long as we can prepare for a day with proper weather, the best time to replace your roof is when you need it!

How quickly can you replace my roof?

This depends heavily on the weather and your specific situation. After a contract is signed and the deposit is received, we can typically get a roof installed within 3-4 weeks, sometimes more quickly than that.

Do I need to be home while my roof is repaired or replaced?

In almost every situation, the answer is no. Many homeowners prefer not to be home to avoid the nailing and noise throughout the day.

Roof replacements are a construction zone and operate accordingly, so if you can take the day to have coffee or lunch with a friend, sometimes that is best. We do recommend that you consider pets and kiddos in this decision in order to manage stress from new faces and new noises. We maintain communication and updates via texts, calls and our photo timeline (updates in real time), so you can always keep up with your project status while you’re away. That being said, if you’d like to be home, we just ask that you stay in contact with us anytime you need to come outside so we can be sure you and your family are safe.

Once your repair is assessed and scheduled, there is no need for you to be home for a repair to be completed. If you have an interior leak, we do ask that you’re home or available for the initial repair assessment so we can get eyes on the leak, to assess properly.

How long does the roof replacement process take?

This can vary greatly. Many homes are one day projects and we are gone before dinner time. In other situations, it may be multiple days depending on the size and characteristics of your home.

How much is a new roof?

The price of your roof, of course, is going to vary based on the size, shape and complexity of your home and how steep your roof is. For the most accurate information, you can use our NO CONTACT ESTIMATOR. Our average roofing project costs anywhere from $10,000 to over $20,000.

Do you offer financing?

We do! We can get you pre-approved without a hit to your credit.
